Building off my previous post and the evolution of Peace of Chaos ….The tranquil calm that came with quilling presented itself with another tactile pastime. An activity that once again absorbed my anxious thoughts and yielded peacefulness. This time while tearing magazine images, patterns, colors and textures, anxious chatter, softened. I also found enjoyment in organizing these misplaced pieces into piles and categories for future use, to once again get lost in. Lost in stories, dreams and “someday wishes.”
The expansion of collaging the various pieces took on a life of it’s own, as I approached the process without overthinking, over analyzing and not needing to understand it all. Just enjoying! The journey of creative wellness spoke to my soul of letting go. The welcomed relief began seeping into other parts of my day…not just while in the studio.
Could I possibly let go of overthinking in other aspects of my life? The short answer is Yes!…sometimes. It’s more layered than that and has numerous variables, but Yes!…sometimes sums it up quite nicely!
So I like to go with Less Is More. Less worry, less analyzing choices and less needing to understand all my thoughts. Going with Not All Thoughts Are Facts provides me More lightness and internal peace.
